Not too sure about the Tube fares but do not take a taxi. There's loads of roadworks in central London that slow the cabs down, and the meter keeps running very fast!! A cab journey will certainly cost twice or three times that of the Tube.  :( I'm in London tomorrow and will check the tube fare, let you know later tomorrow night. (Probably find that a one day travel card would be the best option.) If I'm not beaten to it that is :cheer:

I'd recommend going for a travelcard. An all day zones 1-6 (pretty much the whole network) only costs around £8 and you can use it as many times as you like so you can squeeze in a few other stop offs if you have time. You can buy it along with your train tickets from Donny or any other station.

Filo, I've been into an Underground station today & found out that the cost of an all-zones one day travel card is £7.50. If you want only zones 1 to 4 then it's £6.80.

Go for the all zones & save any hassle if you stray outside zone 4.
