I've had a dream
« on April 03, 2010, 09:51:52 am by Bentley Bullet »
I’ve just awoken from a dream
An early goal from the Plymouth team
The Argyle's defence was nothing short of sublime
But JET put us level on the stroke of half time
Second half Argyle were as solid as rock
What didn’t help was the ref was a cock
The minutes ticked by and the play off dream seemed over
The crowd were leaving, its crap being a Rover!
But it had to happen sooner or later
A long ball up field found an unmarked James Hayter
He slid it to Copps who tapped it to Jet
Who flicked it to OSTER to put  in the net.

Rovers 2  Plymouth 1
Moral of the dream....Please be patient!

out of interest, did u actually dream those events, or did u just dream up the lyrics to the poem?

also, just to tap into the last line for the folks on the forum who don't like poetry, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont get on the teams back today if we dont totally dominate, they are going to need loads of support today, a winner in the last minute is just as good as being 6-0 up at half time....well....almost ;)

Wise words Bentley, 1st minute or 90th, as long as the winner hits the net thats all that matters.

Up the Rovers

Ok I'll come clean. I did'nt write the lyrics to the poem. In my dream I was sat with John Betjemen, and it was him what wrote it!
I merely remembered his wonderful words!! ;)
