Parachute Payments

Look like being extended from 2 to 4 years, making the gulf even bigger between the bigger clubs and teams like us.

I fully expect in the not to distant future for there to be no teams relegated from the Premier League.

It'll end up franchising ala MLS.

Anyway, we'll get some healthy dough this year considering West Brom & Newcastle went back up.

I agree with you to a degree......

...but it wont become a closed shop until the Premier League has the 20 teams it really wants in there, and one of those is still in League One at the moment. Do you really think it'll want to lock its doors with the likes of Burnley, Stoke, Wigan etc in there?

most of it is pushed  by the bolton chairman and he sits on the prrem league board ,, and was talk of having prem 1 and 2 with no way down from the second tier.  but says teams like Scunthorpe plymouth and us would be replaced by leeds ,southampton and norwich

Only one payment is shared though. Second goes to \"Premiership\" coffers.
