What's wrong with the new batch of ST books?

My mate has just been to get his new season ticket, and was given a receipt and told to come back in mid June to collect his book?

He said they were chucking away the batch of books whilst he was there?

Anyone know? My mate never asked

I was there whilst they were getting rid of season ticket books however they were a mixture of rovers and the rugby teams old season ticket books from this season. The lady at the desk told us that not all the books have been made so they wont come untill they have all been made which will be mid/end of june.

You would have thought with us being in the championship and new ground n all that they would have a laminator in the ticket office to seel them?

Reason that season ticket books being scrapped is due to sponser change. Wright logo was on old books new One Call Insurance is being added on new books -but will take until mid-June!!!!!

Nice to know that they are spending our hard earned cash in the right way and just wasting it! If they want our money so early I'd expect to have my ST when I pay.

The money wasted on these ST could go towards a players wages, say, Steve Brooker.

Personally I think it's just plain common sense. They will batch order and produce them and will have a better idea of numbers later on. The main reason would be sponsorship money. Sponsors will hang on to their hard earn't money until the last moment, ( I know I do). The more bits of sponsorship they can aquire the better and that takes time and then all the artwork and approval that has to be passed.

That's true.  Plus, if they are destroying all of the over-ordered books from this season, then it makes sense for them to wait and assess their likely need for next season before ordering in any event
