Swansea away: Who would you like to see in the XI?
« on April 30, 2010, 01:15:57 pm by WSBBA_Ben »
Here we are again, stood looking at a rather healthy league table (in our respects); the season has been a success and with a bit more luck with fitness, Swansea on Sunday could have been a big hitting 6 pointer. Unfortunately, Stock, Sharp, Shacks (the list goes on) were missing when we really needed them and now we go to Swansea to enjoy ourselves, expected to roll over for the Swans - bet365 have us at 6/1 to just win!!

The band of 370 odd of us travelling down will no doubt see a battling Rovers side, whatever side we put out, but who would you like to see in the 1st XI?

I for one wouldn't mind seeing:

*Fairhurst (Handy, hard working)
*Mutch (Raw, more to come)
*Webster (match fit?, looked good away at Notts County)
*McDaid (last game?, always 100% in a Rovers shirt)

Discuss.

Webster is out still, so can't bring him in.

I agree with Fairhurst and Mutch though, no doubt. Mutch has been playing anyway and I hope he comes back next season as he's stepped up the last few weeks. Fairhurst has real potential so I'd give him a go up front with JET and Hayter. I see no reason not to put out the full team mind, we still haven't guaranteed a top half finish (although QPR have to beat Newcastle) and I'd love to see us finish there.

Cold a case be made for Woods or Smith to start in goal in place of Sully? Depends if the manager thinks either truly has a future here I suppose.

I think Sean is the honourable gentleman. He will field his strongest team and a team that will perform in the interests of his own beliefs and that of Blackpool and the CCC season.
