I too hope its true, but I would have thought the board would have had several meetings about signing billy over recent weeks if not months unless its a finalising meeting or the official decision making meeting for a situation like if say 1 or more parties involved wanted to leave the announcement till as close to end of the season for their own reasons.

I heard something similar, but the total fee is going to be £1.2 million with 750k upfront.

A few clubs will be interested in Billy, so I'm not getting my hopes up. If we bag him then great, if not then SOD him :)

I would have been disappointed to think there had not been a board meeting to discuss signing Billy!

How reliable is your source Hexthorpe?

You only had to see Billy in the Walkabout on Saturday night to see how he was enjoying himself with all the other lads. He clearly feels welcome here, knows he is loved by the fans and has enjoyed his time here.

He also told me that he has been told that we can afford him.

Come on Billy, sign that contract.

Il be putting a £10 double bet on Rovers gaining promotion and Billy being top scorer in tagye if that does happen. Thats got to be 600/1 or something. The three teams coming down will definately be weaker than the three going up this year.

tbh I'm somewhat tempted myself

But I think I'll take a small cut in the odds  till I know we've signed him
