How about a Rovers Roadshow.A team of people go around the major supermarkets, shopping centres, your Tescos, Sainsbury's, Morrisons etc, and set up there. Have a stall with all sorts of memorabelia, and give away gifts. Have a large screen TV and have rolling highlights of Rovers recent achievements. Have a team of 'sales' people to go out and promote the club to people about what it means to have a local successful family football team. The idea being to sell tickets and anyone who can be persuaded to buy on the day, receive a replica shirt or a copy of JRs book or a DVD etc. So have on hand someone with a laptop someone who can help chose a seat and take the money. Even if folk can't pay in full on the day, take deposits, or pledges. Give out matchday discount vouchers to try and get new fans involved. Perhaps the players themselves could go along and do their bit. They might find that face to face selling might work better than the telephone campaign the sell the Alliance !?
