The poll will find out the true picture, but on the whole i think sales are doing well. One or two signings will help ,come on billy get that pen out.

Based on what we've cast on here already, and based on sales so far on the website (4235). This by my calculation is the projection

4235 Current sales
 254 Will be renewing
  84 New sales

4573 Total projected sales.

The poll now put up clearly shows that the majority of people have already bought their ticket and as percentage there are few who will buy at the higher price.

Perhaps more people will be buying individual tickets, which is not good for the club. Less attractive fixtures are likely to see a big drop on average attendances.

These stats may not be wholly reliable (as with any exit poll) but as an indication of where we might be on sales, they can't be ignored.

Those waverers, who are less than 'committed', the ones who are not bothered about forums like this. The mothers with kids etc, don't tell you they are not renewing, they just walk away in to the sunset. The club has  then lost the opportunity to persuade them otherwise.

Well we've had the poll running for a week now, and the percentages remain more or less the same.

I suspect there was a knee jerk reaction on the news about Shackell as I noticed the percentage of those who won't be renewing went up from 8 to 11%.

Anyway, based on the poll.

68.6% have renewed (Sales still showing 4235)
7.7%  Will be
12% Match day only
0%  New sales.

Now on the thread we did have a couple who reported new sales, so I will factor that in, so.

4235 Already renewed
 296 Will be
  84 New Sales
4615 Total projected ST sales

 508 Match day only
5123 Grand total

Make of that what you will but it's the only indication of what ST numbers may look like. From people I have spoken to very few are intending renewing now the 'early bird' deadline has passed.

I think there will need to be something 'big' to stir folk in to buying however, let's not forget this recession isn't going anywhere yet and only last week another large Doncaster employer appears to be under threat with 'hundreds' of redundancies at risk.

Question is good folk, how to we get this figure improved ?

How about a Rovers Roadshow.

A team of people go around the major supermarkets, shopping centres, your Tescos, Sainsbury's, Morrisons etc, and set up there.

Have a stall with all sorts of memorabelia, and give away gifts. Have a large screen TV and have rolling highlights of Rovers recent achievements.

Have a team of 'sales' people to go out and promote the club to people about what it means to have a local successful family football team.

The idea being to sell tickets and anyone who can be persuaded to buy on the day, receive a replica shirt or a copy of JRs book or a DVD etc. So have on hand someone with a laptop someone who can help chose a seat and take the money.

Even if folk can't pay in full on the day, take deposits, or pledges. Give out matchday discount vouchers to try and get new fans involved.

Perhaps the players themselves could go along and do their bit.

They might find that face to face selling might work better than the telephone campaign the sell the Alliance !?

I renew 4 tickets but the poll would only let me register once.
Was I doing something wrong?

All it takes is one or two good signings and just watch the numbers move up.

The Keepmoat site hasn't been updated for several weeks, I reckon it might be a bit more than that.
