Carragher out of retirement. I thought he'd turned his back on England. King and Barry picked. I'm sure a great manager once said only take your players that are fit and free from injury.
SWP is not England quality I'm afraid, and will struggle to stay at City.
Where is Micah Richards???
I hope James stays fit, as we look weak there. Infact, if we keep 13 players fit, we might be alright. If we are struggling with injuries, then we might struggle. We need our best 11 on the pitch all the time IMO.
Come on England

I'm happy that Wes Brown is staying at home this summer. Picking him over anyone else would be like choosing a holiday in Prestatyn with Kerry Katona over a week in the Bahamas with Cheryl Cole.
Not sure how Richards isn't in the 30; he was awesome at right back when he came in for them 5 or 6 games.

Depends who you think should/shouldn't be in.
For me Copps has missed out.
See below on players you feel have:
England's 30-man provisional squad for the World Cup finals:
Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green.
Defenders: Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock.
Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Forwards: Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.

Hard to tell which 7 won't make it.
All 3 keepers will go.
I would guess all 5 strikers will go.
Don't need both of Warnock & Baines.
Only needed 3 from Barry, Carrick, Huddlestone, Parker given Lampard and Gerrard will prob start most games.
I think Carragher will go for versatility (also why make a big thing out of recalling him then not include him!) so can leave behind one from King, Upson and Dawson.
Don't need all of the \"wingers\" mentioned - SWP, Lennon, Milner, Cole, Johnson, Walcott. For some reason I've never rated Walcott (although admit he has potential). Will he take 5 or only 4 from those 6?

I'd take:
Peter Shilton, Chris Woods, Terry Butcher, Paul Parker, Mark Wright, Des Walker, Chris Waddle, Paul Gascoigne, David Platt, John Barnes, Steve Hodge, Peter Beardsley and Gary Lineker.

I would suggest:
Green, Baines, Warnock, Dawson, Carrick, SWP and Bent.
I think we might need physical strength to add to the footballing nouse. Micah is a big miss IMO and should go before Carragher as cover for full backs and CH's.
I would keep Huddlestone, he's been a tremendous holding player for Spurs. Carrick is shi-ite

Of all the Prem players i've seen at the Keepmoat, Huddlestone is the one i'd love in the red & white hoops. He's a big unit and does a great job for Harry at Spurs in that holding role.
