There's a couple of decent ones on Thorne Road. Do a search in Yell.com.

I read the best hotel review ever on the F1..it's from trip advisor, I just thought the headline was hysterical..lol

For the love of God, STAY AWAY!”
Metro Inns Doncaster

27 Apr 2008 | Trip type: Couples 1person found this review helpfulRooms are dirty and the whole place is run down. Staff members shout obscenities at you when you order. Awful airplane toilets and grotty showers. Naked people walking around corridors. This is worse than even most youth hostels. I walked straight out again and stayed at a Premier Inn. I'd rather die than stay here!! Do NOT be tempted unless your a chav, because there was a lot of them about drugged up out of their eyeballs. Pay the extra for a well known hotel, or drive home, however far away you live (the further the better)!!

On a slightly, well much better note, with prem inns you have to book at least 21 days in advance to get the cheap nights..

I do believe Jucy that it is the place where the ladies of the night take their customers.

Lol John, so I read in another review. I take it it is the kind of hotel where the cockroaches carry suitcases for a quick exit?

I'd advise people to avoid F1, it's the pits.

I have visited the old home town on several occasions and stayed at a few hotels.
Park Inn around £50 Close to Keepmoat. Used Micks Taxis, (01302 820282) for transport, half the price of a Black.
Premier Inn £29 to £58 depending on offers available. Close to Town Centre.
Travelodge on A1 or M180 from £19 upwards depending on offer. Only good if you have a car.
I am coming down next week and have chosen the Premier with the £29 offer if that helps.
Enjoy your trip.
