Now Shackell gone to Dingles i think that Eliott Ward is worth a bet for next season. When he came on loan i thought he played very well.

Take this how you want

Only problem is, he was on around 10k a week. Taking this into consideration, he will no doubt want a pay rise, especially as he is a free agent soon.

Usually the player can name higher wages as the club save on transfer fees; however, the player has to be in demand to have the ball in his court.

PS I'm sure that Ward holds all the aces.

and according to SOD, Ward has the same agent as Shackell, and therefore knows the details of what Barnsley offered vs what we offered !

He also knows that Barnsley dont rate him as highly as Shackell - which may tell him something about his wage demands to other clubs....

He also knows that we rated Shackell, as we tried to sign him (apparently, first). Maybe we told his (and Jason's) agent that we'd have 1 or the other, depending on terms - who knows!
