at the end of the day it's upto sheffield united who they give permission to to talk to King Billy as he is under contract.
if as the bookies see it leeds are up there in the betting it wouldn't be good for blackwell if he sold King Billy to leeds and he scored shed loads of goals and they finished higher than them, but i think sheff u would be confident of finishing above us (very foolish)
thoughts anyone

So your point is that you think sheff u will only sell billy to a club that they think they will finish above next season? Im not sure that clubs think that way when selling players to be honest. Im also quite sure that billy will have the final say in where he goes and although he liked it here he would struggle to turn down the likes of leeds who could realistically be in the prem in a couple of years. I think were clutching at straws now if this is the logic were using to suggest that he will be here next season.

point of order: in a rovers context, the name King Billy refers to Mr Bremner - no-one else
thirty odd games on loan, albeit with a decent goalscoring return, does not equate to the contribution to the cause over nine seasons as (player and) manager !

Herman is almost right. There are several epithets which are legal protected at DRFC, and must not, under pain of prosecution, be used in relation to anyone else.
These include:
King Alick
Pancho
Kitch
Bren
Windy
Snod
Animal
Bruno
Legless
King Billy is, unfortunately, in a grey area.
For example, on more than one occasion the phrase, \"Oh for f**k's sake, not that 'king Billy Stubbs again\" was heard to echo around BV as the teams emerged from the tunnel.

hmmm - and on a similar tack didn't the tea lady with he damaged accoutrements at Plymouth also refer to \"that 'king Billy Whitehurst\" ?
oh - and while we're about the sanctity of certain names - i don't want to hear anyone being referred to as \"the monkey god\" or \"clownshoes\" other than the original bearers of the title, either....

Jesus wept. The thought of Billy Whitehurst damaging a lady's acoutrements. That raises mental images that I'd prefer not to have to deal with.
