The top banner here...

...needs changing. Any chance of a competition to create the best banner, like some forums do?

Good idea, but I think it might be better to wait until we have made a few notable signings first to get a better picture of what our team for the following season will look like.

Is it bobjimwilly or Nathan who does all the technical stuff here?

Anyway, whoever it is, I was wondering if it was possible to have a random image facility for the header? If so, I'd be more than willing to design multiple headers using images of different players. I'm pretty nifty in Photoshop...

Let me know in here or via PM if you're interested :)

To save on having to change it every time someone moves on, why not have the big names from the past? If we have to have players faces, a montage through the years of the men that got us thus far..

Good shout, that. Like SFT, King Alick, JR, SO'D, Penney and then a couple of favourite current players like Stocky.

Let me know, admins, if this is wanted.

EDIT: and Duerden if I can find an image!

Or if you're technically up to it, a banner with one two or three changing image slots for pics of Rovers current and past greats ramdomly alternating. Not that difficult to do, covers all bases, keeps it looking fresh and easy to update.

The new banner has already been commissioned, and it is hoped that it will be ready in time for the revamped site's first birthday on sunday.

If anyone wants to have a crack so we have a stock and can change it more frequesntly, feel free.  You'll need to take a copy of the header banner so that you can get it the same size.  Email me your efforts to RTR @ gmx.co.uk

Should be a collage of modern day legends who've helped us get where we are today:

JR, SO'D, Tierney, Blundell (with bandage), Barnes, Hayter.
