I'm not getting my hopes up to be honest. We'll leave it too late as usual and they'll go do great at Scunny.
Update- it seems that the Blunts are interested in both Ward and Kennedy. They could certainly afford Ward. I still think we may lose out by not making Kennedy an offer when we talked to him.
In other words we will sit back and wait for everyone else to be proactive and make an effort to sign these players and then we sit back and wait for the scraps.
On one hand I can see where SOD is coming from. He wants his players to take responsibility, to use their noggin. So by saying \"Yes we like the look of you, you'll fit in here\" it makes the player think about what he really wants. On the other hand though how many players might we miss out on because they just don't get it?
You might be sick with the cliche, as i guess most of us are, but that is how Rovers operate the transfer market, and we have to deal with that.SOD isnt a Neil Warnock, Kevin Blackwell type (thank god) that blurts out their transfer targets whenever possible to alert all and sundry. Besides, we dont have the resources to adopt this style as it usually results in a bidding war.

Yep.He had almost signed for you, pen hovering over the paper sort of stuff, but then got the offer from Rochdale to stay. He likes his mates and this offer was quite good so he was mulling over work/life balance and thinking it through while on holiday.i'm not sure if he has seen the ash cloud as a portent of doom or not, but the move to you looks more likely now, seeing as his mate now plays in Scunthorpe which is closer to Doncaster rather than Rochdale.
