Sean McDaid gone to Carlisle

I thought Sean was in his late 20's he's still only 23!!, surely we should have offered him a 1 year deal seeing as Roberts has gone.

Good luck to him mind, always gave everything

Yes, I was surprised that we let him go, too.

The only reason that I can think of is that we're saving on the wage budget to make use of it elsewhere

Was Sean not released before Roberts went to Derby?

Yes he did, but i was meaning we could have gone back for him, no harm in it, unless SOD had told him he had wasnt upto it at all.

But once you have made the decision to release a player because he is either not good enough or not fit enough why would you want to reverse that decision? It would be a backwards decision.

I would have liked to see him play but will have to settle for the fact that his shirt is not going anywhere!!

i think that he was quite unlucky with all the injuries and so on but cant afford to keep players on contracts when there never fit!

good luck shaun... and that brings me to the point... when is brooker's contract up?

Glad for him that he's managed to get a League 1 club so quick.

Cheers Sean.

Interview for Carlisle. Seems a nice lad. And confirmed that Tom Taiwo trained with us, I remember the rumours but not sure if it was ever confirmed or not.
