I wouldn't argue with that, I think we have other priorities. We desperately need to sign at least two strikers, one of which will probably have to be the biggest signing in the history of the club (whether it's Sharp or not). We also have urgent needs for a dominant central defender of sufficient quality to step straight into the team, and of course a left back to replace Gareth Roberts. It's widely known that O'Driscoll wants to add another midfielder, so I think that while Sullivan is still at the level he's at, a goalkeeper is well down the list of priorities. If money was no object then it would be nice to bring in a keeper (like Burch) to compete with Sullivan and probably step into the number one position the season after, but money plays a big part. Unfortunately it means we'll lose the chance to sign Burch on a 'free,' but I reckon solving the goalkeeping issue in the long term can be deferred until next summer. I don't know enough about Woods to know if he'll be good enough, but working with Sullivan can only be a help.
i wonder if we will be making a move for danny green now that D&R are promoted?
