According to Sky Sports sources, Walcott and Bent not in squad. No surprise there for me

Trust the British press to turn it into a bloody farce!

If we win this World Cup it will be a miracle I'm telling you. There's just too much distracting bullshit nowadays.

Total Farce .......

Just announce it!

Out - Baines, Bent, Johnson, Walcott, Dawson, Parker, Huddlestone

In ..... people like Carrick, Wright-Phillips, Heskey, Ledley King .... etc.

It's as well that I don't give a sh1t ....

(although Dawson may still get the nod over King)

Walcott has not really improved as a player over the last 12 months, his progress seems to have stalled and on his recent performances looks short on confidence.

Bent maybe a bit unlucky, i would have taken all the strikers named in the 30

Rooney has apparently scored 9 goals in 10 games when playing with Heskey and only 2 in 10 with someone else. I don't have a problem with Heskey going I just wish he would get the odd goal as well.

He is slaughtered for his goal scoring record but Sven must have played him on the left side of midfield for about 20 games

I've given Rovers media department some stick over the years, but the FA's equvalent has taken the gold medal for ineptitude today. Instead of making the announcement of the squad at a set time, they've just allowed the news to dribble out. By the time the official announcement comes, it will be old news.

Personally I would have taken Parker instead of Carrick (in fact, I'd take Mark Wilson ahead of Carrick!), Johnson instead of Wright-Phillips and Walcott ahead of Heskey. But we're talking hairline decisions. I doubt any of the players we're discussing are in the starting XI for the first game.

If it's right I'm very surprised about the decision to drop Dawson, given half the players in his position are injury prone.

The way the news has been filtering out is really descending into farce now. Surely they can just make an official announcement.

Oh, hang on a second, just been told DROS is running a scoop on the squad. Apparently Gazza has been left out and has trashed Glenn Hoddle's room in disgust.

I'd have taken Johnson as a natural left sided player instead of Ian Wright's boy, and anyone ahead of Carrick, and anyone ahead of Calamity James, and Steve Brooker ahead of Heskey ..... but then why would Capello care?

If Mr C does anything like \"last 8\" with this bunch it'll be called a success, and he'll get a job somewhere else afterwards anyway ......

Luckily I won't be watching much of it anyway!
