No idea, but let me be the first to put Brian Laws forward for the job.

I hope Laws does not get the job as it would mean that Burnley will come looking at SOD again - I think David Moyes is in the right place for the job - it is after all not far from his present employers location, he would not even have to move house.

Laws is a young(ish) manager who's worked his way up through the leagues getting smaller clubs relegated.

It's only fitting that Liverpool should look closer to home, and give an English manager a chance to get one of the country's top sides relegated.

I, for one, wouldn't mind if he were sacked.  Seems like since I've been watching them (only since 2005, mind you), he just can't take them to the top.  It may be due to money, but also he seems like a cold fish and possibly his players can't respond to that.

May also be those damn American owners (  ;)  )who are always in turmoil, but why extend his contract if this is the case?

If he does get the elbow, then he only has himself to blame. At the end of the day with the resources that Liverpool have at their disposal, 7th place in the league and no success in the cup competitions represents a huge season of failure.

Spot on. They have spent a fortune over the last 5 or 6 consecutive seasons.

Clubs are sniffing around Gerrard and Torres in particular right now....so it would be intersting to see who they get at the helm and deal with that situation. Could have a sneaky bet on Martin O'Neil for the job?

It'll be interesting to see where Liverpool go from here, it's no longer one of the most attractive jobs in English football that's for sure.

I mean, if you were say Martin O'Neal which club looks to have the brighter prospects, VIlla or Liverpool? Seriously!

Oh bloody hell no!!!

There's no way we are going to fend off Liverpools advances for SOD like we did for Burnley.

I hope the end is swift as my ticker cant take the prolonged agony of a few months ago

The Liverpool job is a poisoned with the owners trying to sell it at the same time. I don't think anyone in decent employment will move there. Look for someone out of work who can operate with no money.  Maybe start using long throws, long ball etc.

Liverpool could become a joke and that would be sad.
