rovers outsiders again
« on June 06, 2010, 02:50:35 pm by ptaylor-red »
Doncaster Rovers are one of the outsiders for promotion from the Championship next season according to Sky Bet, with only two clubs considered more unlikely to get promoted. Scunthorpe are again rank outsiders for promotion at 33/1, with financially troubled Crystal Palace 20/1. Rovers, Watford and Barnsley are considered 14/1.
Burnley are considered the early favourites for bouncing straight back to the Premier League, and their 'parachute' payment giving them a huge advantage.
Whilst Rovers are considered as outsiders, they have been one of the favourites for relegation since arriving in the Championship two summers ago, so we are sure that Sean O'Driscoll will again confound the so-called experts next season.
The full current odds for promotion are: Burnley 5/2, Q.P.R 7/2, Reading 7/2, Cardiff 4/1, Leeds 4/1, Leicester 4/1, Middlesboro 4/1, Nott'm Forest 4/1, Norwich 9/2, Sheff Utd 9/2, Bristol City 9/2, Ipswich 9/2, Hull 11/2, Portsmouth 11/2, Preston 11/2, Swansea 7/1, Derby 8/1, Millwall 8/1, Coventry 9/1, Barnsley 14/1, Doncaster 14/1, Watford 14/1, Crystal Palace 20/1, Scunthorpe 33/1

Overrated:

Burnley 5/2- Brian Laws!
Derby 8/1-cutting squad and have struggled lately.
Leeds 4/1- relegation form in league below since Xmas, top scorer gone.
Millwall 8/1- eh?

Underrated:

Swansea 7/1-sign a striker and they are in the mix.
Rovers 14/1-no comment necessary
