To lift the gloom is it time we

Start thinking about what we can do to show the club and John Ryan in particular how useful and loyal we are as fans again by putting something into motion similar to the immpressive effort which resulted in flyers being produced and influencing the last game of the season with a bigger crowd.

With the close season and the world cup on our door step my thoughts were that this is the ideal time to prepare ready for the cup finishing and then we produce (ideally alongside with rovers and their financial support) a marketing campaign which blitzs donny and gets the town noticing the club again which may be to either lift the gloom or ride on the bandwagon of the world cup depending on how England do.

I'm only thinking simple thoughts such as a flyer again say around 40,000 which can be distributed in the star and the freepress with an advert on the front saying FREE DONCASTER ROVERS DVD & OFFER

The flyer be similar to that when you first go to DRFC and have players plus SOD's comments on the front with the prices on the back and ways of paying for it. (e.g. though Danum credit and pay monthly with a v low interrest rate) and a section for membership to the VSC to help improve numbers and enhance our voice

The DVD could be similar to the one i've tried to link to  but more current with glimpses of previous achievements and plenty of goose pimple as commentators enjoy our style of footy

THese are only a couple of ideas and course i don't know what our wonderful marketing team have planned............................................................................................ ..........................................................................that prob sums their thoughts as tumbleweed goes flying past me

i don't care if they nick this one but i feel that with the help of Gareth and Rob along with those who contributed before we could achieve the simple following:

Currently the season ticket sold stands at 4725
If we can help add a further say 3,500 or 5,500 thousand for a total of over 10,000 ideally out of a town of around 300,000 population then not only will we have done immensly well in a difficult climate but it shows the board we will have just touched the surface of potential in the town.

If we could achieve the impossible and get an increase on the last two years then it also looks good to prospective players who want to join a club on the up and bucking the national trend and it gives the board confidence in their decisions

I'm interrested in feedback before i go to Rob or Gareth with this but i think i'm onto something
