other clubs have frustrations also
« on June 10, 2010, 10:51:45 pm by Theresonly1barrowrover »
Much has been written recently concerning the frustration of  being piped at the post by other clubs in our attempt to sign players. Just by chance this afternoon I heard an interview on radio Cumbria with the Carlisle Utd manager. He revealed that he had been in regular contact with Paul Heffernan since January and had high hopes of signing him, that was until the Wednesdays got in on the act. He realised that once Wednesdays declared their interest, Carlisle had no chance, as there was no way they could compete against them.
Just thought I would share that with you.

And what happened to Bristol Rovers in all this? Trollope was quoted as saying he wnated to sign Heffs. Heffs was quoted as saying he liked it down there. And then everything went deathly silent. What happened?

Walker appears to be quite happy at Holker St, he has a job doing football in the community and lives at flookborough which is only about 10 miles from Barrow. His winning goal in the FA trophy final can`t have done his reputation any harm. Not aware that any club has shown any particular interest in him.
