I know i'm a broken record but with a little entusiasm and promotion push from the club and volunteers from the vsc why would getting 10,000 be un acheivable recession or not?

Because we haven't got 10,000 regular attendees .... and there is no \"incentive to buy\" available without offending a large chunk of the 5200 people that have already bought ... any \"special marketing\" must be aimed at 2011/12 and full timely publicity given.

No but we have c.8500, an increase of 1500 is not entirely out of the question.

The novelty of the championship is wearing off. Next time we get 8k plus st holders, will be if we get to the prem.

That's yet another of those infernally stupid statements. You may be omniscient but, for me, please, explain what knowledge of the future you possess that allows you to make a categorical statement like that?

How about this one? \"The novelty of the Championship is wearing off. But we'll still get 8k season ticket holders this season.\"

I might or might not believe that - but it sure has as much validity as your effort.

I know people that bought a season ticket after their first game at wembley.

After realising the championship wasn't all that, they never renewed.

I'm sure if you set up a blog or facebook group, and run a survey, you'll see that 100's if not thousands bought season tickets when we first got up, but now the novelty has worn off.

The club could do a survey, but they wont, because they wont like the answers,

When we first got up, to the ccc, 18 people i knew bought st tickets, 12 of which had never been to see rovers until wembley.

Ive noticed that my opinion isnt as sanctioned since I admitted to being Carling.

Some people have little vendettas, i.e Bob (just look at his signature on ziger zager, the sad act  :S

I want be getting involved with little groups here that group up and make their own little rules. For me, some such as bob are so pissed of with their own existence that they attack anyone that plays their game.

I'm getting married in two month and cant be doing with little man syndrome...thank you.

In want to use this forum, and not be provoked as folk like you think that you can get away  with murder with the mods here.

It's like being a bird :p

All the dull sparrows attack the bird with the bright colours (me). It's a case of jelousy, and nothing greater

Rigo, Boby and co never liked me coming here and taking over the roost, especally as rigo and bob prided themselves on what they had done for the club and the praise they got here.

I came along many moons ago, and they were no longer focus of attention so set out to nastily remove me :)

Its all good, but they will always be dullards :d

Not true, if you are Carling`s re-incarnation then this time round you have not given any reason for any mods to ban you or issue you with any warning, you obviously want to come on here and join in the banter. it`s obvious you`re not keen on a few posters, i`m probably in that group as well because of our past exchanges and the fact i`m a mod, but do we really need to open up old wounds?

I find that figure encouraging, the club should launch a marketing drive now, maybe offer some incentive to try and boost that figure, saturate doncaster with adverts!

Maybe some people are waiting to see who we get drawn against in first half of season if there are no local or big games some may wait just to get a half season ticket

Full ST sales last year were 7,000? We are 1,800 short of that with 2 months to go despite many people losing their jobs or taking pay cuts, am I the only one who thinks it's not that bad? I don't look to the likes of Norwich for a comparison because that's ridiculous we are a small club with traditionaly low support yet attendances have risen and ST sales are still greater than home attendances in Div 4.
