SKY+, DVD recorder, TV issues
« on June 23, 2010, 08:04:06 pm by BLIR »
Looking for some help....................

The SKY+ box knacked and required replacing. In the meantime the wife (I was away) took the SKY box from the bedroom and plugged it in downstairs through the DVD recorder. The SKY+ box was replaced by the engineer and I can now not get SKY to go through the DVD recorder.

I have had all the scarts out and started from scratch - using manuals for the DVD and SKY to make sure I was getting it right. There's also an RF cable that seems to be irrelevant but was plugged in before, when everything worked fine.

I am on the verge of putting a size 12 through the telly in frustration.

Any advice?

I have thought about calling SKY and getting them to send out an engineer (hopefully at no cost - if I can convince them it was down to their bloke)

Phone sky up, ask them for cancellations, tell them you want to cancel because you' not happy with the refurbished box and they'll offer you a deal, i've heard they offer new HD boxes free no becuase they don't have any sky plus boxes brand new anymore

AVForums is your place for advice on this, mate.

See this thread for some basic advice.
