so i guess we can expect lower level cup games to be category 3, the majority of matches to be cat 2, in which case its a rise of 2 quid a ticket, and local derbies/sell outs as cat 1...suddenly a season ticket feels like better value, lol

I think its a good move to introduce this system. most clubs do it. I have a feeling it will make a lot of people that wearnt going to buy a season ticket to buy one. Also it will encourage people to go to the less 'attractive' games. :)

Or it might price genuine fans out of seeing the Rovers

Without being too sceptical, i can see the Rovers not keeping up with this 6 week promise and most games just falling into category 2 games.
In my opinion all the games categories should be released now as we have an idea of what games are going to be what.

i.e Category 1: Barnsley, Leeds, Sheff Utd, Portsmouth
    Category 2: Other League games
    Category 3: Cup games

Totally agree. They must have decided already which matches fit into which category, so the info should be published now.

so its gonna be £28 to watch the likes of Rovers vs Leeds/Sheff U/Barnsley/Forest etc ?????

I might be jumping the gun here and speaking for a few or then i could be totally wrong but £28 is TOO MUCH to pay for football but then the boys in charge who set the prices must know best.

I wont be going to any im afraid.

I hope for Rovers sake im in the minority

True.

At the other end of the scale, category 3, we have an £8 decrease which is a 35% reduction.

Can't see Pompey being a Category 1 game surely!

I think a lot of people will pick and choose when to go to games and for the floaters who may or may not go to e.g. Preston at home, are they going to pay up to £25 for what will be likely a Cat2 game?

I doubt it.

Sneaky from Rovers, get your season ticket now!

I would bet not a single league game would come into the third category. A 22% increase is daylight robbery i'm afraid. £25, fair enough, but DRFC will lose the casual fan next season.

Put me down for another tenner then Frosty.

If they didn't intend to have any category 3 games, why would they have a category 3?

The first cup game suggests that isn't the case.  As does the article.

Will these prices, in conjunction with ST prices, do anything to attract more fans to DRFC ?

Me thinks NOT.

I contacted the Hospitality people to arrange for 3 people to go for what we thought was a £75 per head deal for the Rovers v Leeds game. After taking all details the lady on the phone said \"That will be £575 being charged to your card sir.\" I said \"How much?\" She then proceeded to tell me that the hospitality is now graded according to the game, same as matchday ticket prices. Apparently the Leeds game comes under Diamond category, \"and it's all on the website sir\" she said. I told her to cancel the booking, I can't afford that kind of price and told her that.

Since then I've looked on the hospitality part of DROS but can't find any mention of these new categories. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place so has anyone else seen these new categories anywhere on the site?

Anyone thinking of booking the hospitality package take note.

Here?

Doesn't mention anything about prices though. Get yersen a pie and a discreet hip flask in your inside pocket and you won't notice the difference.

The new prices are a big increase and I know when the club announced the new st prices and the shortened discount period people on here were rightly miffed imo. JR tried to smooth this over including in the explanation that it allowed better planning, an increased wage budget and a transfer kitty. Look at things now however not only are we out of the running for Billy we couldnt match the dingles in what they offered Shackell and likewise with our own Gareth Roberts. If this increase has still left us so miles away from competing for the quality we need in this division then I fear for future seasons prices.

No probs.

'Commercial' tab on front page, then 'Downloadable Info'.
