Hope I'm not jumping the gun here but John Oster did say he would have to get assurances from the manager about his future before deciding whether to put pen to paper on a new contract.
If this is still accurate then it's Christmas all over again not only have we gained the services of one of the best midfield schemers in the Championship he has been reassured about Sean's commitment to stay as manager. FANTASTIC WHERE'S THE CHAMPAGNE???

I dont remember him saying that and even if he was thinking it I doubt he would come out and say it.

Are you sure that Oster didn't mean he needed assurances on his future from SOD? As in Oster needing assurances on Oster's future?
Anyway, brilliant news that he is staying for another two year deals, now all we need is Hayter to put pen to paper and we can look ahead to the new season.

I fear any assurances over O'Driscoll's future can only ever be short term.
He will be linked to every higher profile position that becomes available and eventually, the right one will come.
We should cherish every minute.

Sky Sports reckons Leicester are after Simon Grayson, since he spent 5 years there and played nearly 200 games for them.
Wouldn't that be hilarious!

Amazing isn't it. A good player re-signs for us, so now the doom and gloom is our manager is leaving at the earliest opportunity. I guess it would be a bit much to just be happy that we have Oster again for the next two seasons?

Another big positive no one seems to have picked up on is that OSter's signing was delayed whilst he saw a specialist with his knee problem.
So, the mere fact he has signed means its all good news.

Pleased we've got him and your observation is bang on Rob , we have a fit Oster.
One would hope that we would soon have a fit Brooker too.
