That is another good signing if he signs.  We seem to be choosing our signings wisely.  Shame we lost out on Shackell - the only downer so far.

I don't know, we may not have been able to afford both Sharp and Shackell. If we get a young loanee in then missing out on Shackell may have been a good thing!

had we got shackell would    we still have got sharp i don't think so

I've a sneeky feeling,the management thinks they can get a CB just as good or better than Shacks on lower wages/loan and the \"we cannot afford shacks and sharp\" was just a bit of a smokescreen to show other clubs we will still run a tight ship and not pay Silly money.

If the whole '1 new signing and 3 loanees' thing is to be believed, this must make Gillett the permanent addition? If we end up signing 5 players this week I'd be amazed and delighted!

Hmmmm I saw that too, the same person claiming to be 'In The Know' also states that Billy has yet to sign anything!

I thought Gillet was excellent when he was here on loan, broke up opposition moves and put himself about very well. Excellent signing.

DRFC Gillett completes medical Radio Sheffield have reported that midfielder Simon Gillett has completed a medical at Doncaster Rovers and is all set to sign for the club.

Great to see, now we wait on the possible 3 loan signings. Can't see him playing first team football week in week out for us unless someone gets injured however.
