I hop our very talented poster/leaflet designers have plenty to work with.

Should the Donny public not be aware of this wave of optimism why not splash a few reminders...

Full page poster in Free Press and Star. Leaflets distributed like you did before Palace game etc.

I had doubts, and still have to a degree that Billy's capture wouldn't make up the shortfall in ST Sales. How I hope I'm wrong. The prospect of Billy and others rumoured to be on their way, together with the talent we already have is, indeed, mouthwatering !

Why would any right minded football fan spurn the prospect of seeing football of the calibre SOD and the squad can produce.

Can't see SOD being tempted elsewhere with the players at his disposal and, top teams will be falling over themselves so offer us their bright young prospects !

Am I getting carried away ?

Actually, its all very timely.  The 2nd leaflet has just been designed last week by Snods Shinpad, and will be finalised next week.

Without giving too much away about the final design, it will be a folded leaflet, promoting the first home game, season ticket sales, and the Rovers Lottery (both for playing the lottery and becoming an agent (more to follow on this)), plus will have a handy fixture list fold-out centre spread for you to keep pinned to your fridge door, in your wallet, etc.

Once again, we will be running out 2,500 for distribution (so 25 volunteers will be required to spare an hour each to post 100 each through letternoxes, local shop counters, on bars, at workplaces, etc), but could consider a bigger print run if anyone has any more innovative solutions to mass distribute.

Let the creativity commence.....

Looks like I'd better fix a Billy Sharp pic in the flyer somewhere now.  

I can make the front page A4 poster size if people want to print some out themselves to stick in shops/pubs. If anyone is interested in doing that leave a post and I'll upload it to this thread when it's ready.

Also, I remember someone mentioning it could be a good idea to do a Polish version to stick up in Polish shops. Again I can fix a poster for people to print out if someone is prepared to go and put them up and can tell me what the correct translation in Polish is.

The Polish shops is a great idea, and with the influx of different nationalities in and around Doncaster - this may well be a way to get new multicultural fans! Some research on the main immigrant societies to target them. Again I'll have a word with our Community Development Worker at the Little Theatre and highlight what communities we are targeting to fulfil our community criteria with the Big Lottery Grant and see if there might be mileage there too if you like - contact details, community centres and so on!

With the kind of money spent on a player like this it really must be time to try and open Doncaster's eyes  -easier said than done I admit but worth a shot?
