Mutch of a Muchness
« on July 07, 2010, 01:09:46 am by DMnumber4 »
Obviously we are all anticipating the news from the press conference tomorrow. With Sharp signed sealed and all but delivered, there also seems to be the arrival of Gillett, and three loan signings.

After various rumours about the potential loanees, it seems the three will be of the following:

Mutch, JET, Stearman, Keogh.

I like Mutch, think he's big, athletic, talented, strong, keen etc, but with us having Wilson, Stock, Woods, Oster and now Gillett, can you really see him a) coming and b) playing?

And if we did get the other three lads, or even two of them, then it would be quality.

Not forgetting Copps, Shiels, Hayter (if you class him as a midfielder) and Dumbuya. I reckon Mutch is a talent, but has a lot to learn - he could be an asset at the club but couldn't expect to command a regular 1st team start, especially as a loanee.

JET would be in the same boat, but as a higher profile player from a much bigger club, would be much more likely to start.

Keogh would be fantastic, but if Brooker maintains fitness it would drop Hayter down the pecking order for me and I think he would follow Guy and Heffernan to pastures new, not wanting to warm the bench game after game. As much as I like Hayter, I don't think he's in the same class as the other 3.

Stearman is a versatile player and could do a good job for us without a doubt but I wonder how many Wolves players we would get?

I work in Wolves, and the general consensus is that Stearman will be playing in the first team this season, and that Keogh could well be surplus to requirements.

No whispers about departures today though.
