Anyone heard this Stock rumour?

Source is a mate who works for Yorkshire Radio:

Stock to Southampton in player plus cash deal supposed to be Rickie Lambert and the region of 200k.

whilst he has no interest in making stuff up, i doubt its true. i just wondered if anyone else had heard similar and whether it carried 'weight'?

I have to own up. Quite childlishly I put that Stock would be swapped for Lambert as I was fed up with all the Stock to Southampton posts.

Exactly the opposite, if I were you I should be on the phone to Yorshire Radio asking for the comission/copyright fee for your exclusive story they published without your permission - lazy journos!

It's not even worth thinking about. Southampton won't consider offloading Lambert just as we should not consider offloading our captain. Stock has been brilliant for us and is at the centre of what O'Driscoll has achieved since arriving, he is a crucial part of our first team.
