Played at Askern I thought he would be very useful.

say on the west ham site \"

WEST HAM'S cost-cutting has continued this week with the news that eight players will not be offered new deals at the club for next season, writes DAVE EVANS.

Midfielder Josh Payne, who has made three appearances for the Hammers, coming on as a substitute at Blackburn Rovers and in the home clash with Liverpool last season, before making his first start in the Carling Cup game against Millwall back in August is the highest-profile casualty.

The 19-year-old has also been on loan at Wycombe this season.\"

Knew the lad when he played at West Ham, a lot of fans were surprised to see him go.

Here's a link to West Ham online with some of the comments to give you an idea.

Looked a good player to me, very comfortable on the ball & got better as the game went on. Would like to see him against better opposition, but reckon he push one or two first teamers given the chance.
