the sharp signing
« on July 09, 2010, 05:31:31 pm by scotlandsbest »
dont get me wrong on this signing im as happy as chuff (more than that but i darent type what i want to say lol)but lets not get carried away sean is a very shrewd manager but he wont put all his eggs in one basket i can see him playing billy and brooker together in a few friendlys and then decide whats best for the club and regarding other big signings i cant see sean spending willy nilly he has stated that he wants a centre half in my book they stop goals so thats just as important as scoring goals so lets not get carried away with it asll lets get our feet on the ground.dont get me wrong id be as happy as anyone if we signed keogh but the wages would lessen the chances of getting a better defender so im sorry if it sounds doom and gloom it wasnt meant to be just stating that we shouldnt get to carried away with just the one signing nobody knows exactly what the budget was just the board and sod and rok so lets get a centre half first and see where we go from there

cheers allan

i have to agree with scotlandsbest..were in big need of a center back,no shackell ,no ward remember....martis aint a leader at the back & lockwood is just steady so i think we need to look at a loan for now....because for the type of center half were looking for.ie ward and shackell standard were gona be looking at 800k plus........

and just let me say how sad i think it is that other vsc users come on and slag peoples spellings and english off. 3 words (get a life)

Ay, the sentence started without a capital letter as well as an ''and''  :(
A capital ''I'' would have been nice and an apostrophe in ''people's'' would have been more accurate. Finally capital letters for the VSC would be preferable.
I'm only joking robthecat but I have given you a mark of C- ...........cue the vitriol.
You're right some of us are ''picky'' (including me) but it's only light-hearted banter and some folk may just improve their command of English.  ;)

If Martis need a leader is Caulker, a 18/19 year old centre back the right choice then if the reports are true? If SOD thinks so then he must think that Martis is reliable enough.

How do you know he isn't a leader? People who were at the game on Wednesday said he never stopped shouting.

Are you convinced about that fudgepacker ? I'm definitely not so sure, he worries me to death at times like a Dingle with his mam.
