Many years ago as a recruit into the RAF, each section of recruits took it in turn to do night guard at the training camp. Based in the guardroom we had to walk around the various buildings that were used during the daytime & make sure all the doors and windows were secure.

One place we had to go to was the old Airman's Mess which included the NAAFI bar. The building was the usual two storey type and was built in the 1920's. The training camp we were on was a former Bomber Command base in Lincolnshire. Somehow the place didn't feel 'right' when you went in there when it was deserted. Anyway, one night me and my oppo patrolled in there securing all doors and windows as we went and turning off the lights. We got upstairs and thought we could hear someone playing snooker in a room at the end of the corridor. We went in there and nobody was around, balls were left on the table along with a cue and a chalk block. After a little knock around between us, me and my mate put everything away, turned the light out and secured the room.

When we got outside we looked back at the building and saw two lights on upstairs. We were positive that we'd turned them all out but went back in anyway to turn them off. As we got into the upstairs corridor we were sure we heard the toilet in the Ladies being flushed. We were a bit more than wary but went in there anyway to see who was in there. Nobody was there. By this time my arse was giving it half-crown/sixpence time!! Anyway, as we came back into the corridor again we heard the snooker balls clicking together. We crept up to the room doors and took a sneaky peek through  the crack in the door but could not see anyone in there. So we unlockd the doors and went in and saw that the snooker balls were again out on the table with a cue and the chalk block. Bloody weird or what!!

We again put the lights out, secured the room and left. Again, as we got outside we looked back and saw the light on again. Needless to say neither was keen to go back in. We legged it back to the guardroom and told the Orderly Sergeant what had happened.

He said that this often happened and it was known that the building in question was the old Officer's Mess during WW2. Many bomber crew didn't make it back to  base and there was one particular navigator who was an very good amateur player in local snooker leagues before the War. He was always up practising when not out on a mission. His bomber never made it back from the big raid on Dresden. It was thought to be his spirit that was back to keep on the snooker practicing. On the point of the toilet, it turned out that the Ladies used to be the Gents before some rebuilding took place to repair some bomb damage on the base. There never was a Ladies but two Gents toilets.

Make of it what you may folks, but from that night onwards, I managed not to be the person to do the nightly check on that block!!

was in me early teens so 20+ years ago and was with me mate
walking out of his house up the drive way.

did not hear anything but what seemed a load of windows with light lost of light beeming through them just appeared above and behind us in the night sky.

the shape of the windows gave us the impression it was like
the star ship enterprise off star trek.

these window of light just seem to hang there for a very short time then disappear as quick as they appeared.

once lights had gone i turned to my mate and asked 'did you see that' he said 'see what'

so to this day i cant make up if i did see something or not, back then i was sure i saw what i saw but since my mate did not see owt it type of puts me in the middle of yes/no.

suppose i will be taking this one to my grave

I once saw SOD make a rash and unconsidered decision.

Madness!

I'm now being laughed at by my horrible daughter... Made the mistake of reading this again just before I remembered my work shirt is on the line, Now, I'm scared of the dark.. I don't mind admiting it, so asked her to go outside with me, my back garden is scary.....  :(

Half way down the garden I hear a noise and she stands there pissing herself as I look ready to bolt back into the house.. Needless to say you will NEVER catch me watching a horror film...

I have a headache now.. :(:(

When my Grandad was a young kid 90 or so years ago in the East End of London, the family lived in a big old house.  Each interior door had a lock, and my Great Grandfather would lock all the doors as everyone went to bed.  In the morning, the doors would all be unlocked and wide open.

After a few weeks of this, my great nana insisted that the house was exorcised.  A local priest came and did it, and the doors stayed locked at night.

Some years later, during refurbishment works, the skeleton of a child was found buried under ground floor floorboards, wrapped in a blanket.  My grandad tried to find out who the child was or the circumstances which led to the body being hidden, but could uncover no more info.

My Grandad told me this story when I was about 10 years old, after I scoffed at something paranormal on TV.  He looked me square in the eyes and said, as seriously as anything, \"Dont make fun of what you dont understand.\".  That scared the living shit out of me, before he told me about the house in London.

At the point of orgasm I always straighten my feet/point them/stiffen them.

In adult male Public House discussions I have realised there are others that do this. I suspect there others on here too.

I've watched and tried to resist, but to no avail. I cannot explain this activity and often suspect it's paranormal.

Whilst having intercourse with the opposite sex, I'm often told by the female that they get an out of body experience. I suspect this might just happen to me though.

Thats not paranormal, it`s you just being uncomfortable having intercourse with the opposite sex. Stick to what you`re used to, the same sex  ;)

The wife and me were in bed one night when the burglar alarm went off. We went downstairs and discovered that the alarm keypad was hanging off the wall. Strangely all the house was still locked and there had been no entry.
To this day it is still a puzzle as to what happened.

You live in Bentley. Problem solved.  :P

We once had a ghost who frequented our house so we got the local priest in to exorcise it. After that everything was great for a couple of months, but then it returned.

Having my house re-possessed was the last straw, so we left, never to return.

Love how this has divided opinion. I guess that it cannot truly be proven or deined.

I think everyone's had what people are describing as a paranormal experience.

Be it unexplained noises/doors open/lights on etc. All could be explained by your gas board or water board. Things like when you're looking for something and you find it in a place you've already looked etc, that sort of thing is paranormal.

I've had paranormal feelings before, but nothing big. Most were at night when I'm tired so it might've just been my brain. I've seen nothing so far to convince me that there are ghosts. I'd love to though, I really would.

Before I joined the RAF, I  thought the same as you. See my earlier post.

Hilarious, there's a ghost sat next to me right now.

Is there a ghost in the room with you?
