The 90's must've been a hard decade for Rick. I came home one afternoon in '97 to find him up in the loft burgling my house. I took away the ladder and said \"Never gonna let you down\".

Indeed.
I was at a buffet party circa 2000 where Rick was also in attendance. Rick was getting some right grief from all the lads. Anyway, it got nasty and it ended in a huge food fight. All the lads were running around chucking cakes, meringues and ice cream in his face....the lad just took it all and simply told the baying mob that he wouldn't stoop so low and... never gunna run around and dessert you.

On the subject of one hit wonders (I know he had a few but anyway...) its a good time to tell my Chesney Hawkes story.
I was in a nightclub in Leeds circa 2001 and he was booked to perform live as part of his \"comeback\". He got up on stage, to much female screaming, and performed 3 songs. First, his new song (which obviously did bog all in the charts). Secondly, a very good acoustic version of American Pie. Then he says, \"Right, I've only got time for one more song, can you guess what it is?\".
Well Chesney. Lets think. Let my mind wander through your extensive back catalogue. Hmmmmmmm. So he pleased his fans with \"One and Only\" and then showed the power of sex appeal and how girls must keep their teenage crushes with them forever by doing a signing session - pay £2.50 for a pic of him and he'll sign it for you. But no. No girl wanted him to sign a picture, they all wanted him to sign their boobs. Every girl of the 1000+ in the club. Boobs.
Pop stars eh? Even the shit ones get to sign boobs.
