No Bob. It the LANDLINE internet connection here that's 500kb/s!I mean, I only live 1km from the centre of fcuking Sheffield, so I guess I should expect a tin can and string level of IT connectivity.TeleWest were digging up the pavement on the other side of the road when the dot.com bubble burst in 1999 and all new investment in the fibre optic network stopped overnight. So the old lass over the road has got 20MB download speed and is up all night having real-time cyber w**ks with folk from Micronesia - full audio, HD webcam, everything, whilst for me it's quicker to walk to a client's office and shout through their letterbox than send them an e-mail with an attachement.'kin free market system eh? Bag of shite.
Mugs, all of yers.Billy, are you a Sky customer? If so, try to find out if you can get Sky broadband. Sky put their own kit in the exchanges, so even though you might be miles away, you might only be sharing with a thousand users or so, instead of 100,000. Rhis is how Sky get the speeds they do. With Tiscali, my line could just about manage 2mb/s on a good day, but with Sky I get 14.5mb/s constantly.
Wasn't this scheme to be cut. I'm sure I read something a few weeks ago about it
My team are doing a load of wayleaves for access so that the infrastructure can be put in place for the Digital Region project. Exciting days ahead. Now, how about WIMAX?

Not sure what it's actually done to my phone, but works exactly the same. This of course, is of no help to you.Try downloading emogicons for free, lot's of smiley faces and symbols, that might make you laugh.Try downloading Roll Down and beating my record of 218.
