Sounds like we're playing a mix of good old pros and young lads. Sammy Igoe ex of Bristol R in their team.

Don't get despondent, its only a friendly. Same as we didn't get carried away on Monday.
The game at Preston is the one that matters,up until then its trial and error and getting fit.

Half Time - Back 4 having a hard time. Especially Hird. Too many passes going astray.

Just confirmed Oster having exploratory op tomorrow.

Woods 270 minutes - conceded 1

Sulli 45 minutes - conceded 3

Sulli's first choice keeper isn't he? :S

Not a tea cup break?

when we concede 2 from long throw ins, it's so obvious what we lack...a dominant centre half!!!

My mate, who is at the game, has heard that we were going to withdraw from the tournament tomorrow anyway- citing injuries and the issue over substitutions. I doubt we'll be signing up for any more tournaments in future!

He also says Rovers have been dreadful, especially in midfield.

Rovers trying to stamp some authority on the game. Fairhurst shoots over the bar.

Perhaps we haven't been very professional about this comp. all the other teams only have 3 subs as well.
Blackpool seemed to be up for it and can handle it despite starting in the Prem. a week after us. I'm gutted for our fans who made the effort to travel. Losing on purpose in a Cup comp. however meaningless doesn't seem to be our style.
Ffs we must have read the rules before going..........didn't we ? If we wanted to withdraw as has been suggested then at least go out on a win.

I'd be a bit unhappy if i'd travelled down there to see this. We shouldn't have entered.

Coppinger strikes. Just wide.

We're getting better. Can't hit a barn door tonight though.

Let's remember that the rules were changed thanks to the FA on Saturday, something SOD is not at all happy about.  Listening to the commentary the team that is playing has injuries and illness and doesn't look at all like it's bothered about staying in the competition.

Dosent matter one bit - feel sorry for the fans that have gone down there but as the 10-1 other day ...means nothing!!
