Ah but Daggers, you should know.. Rights and wants will always come second to a good money spinner.. Theres no way they will give him up and send him home, he has ceased to be a person, he is a TOURIST ATTRACTION.

How right you are Debs

Having been born there, I always thought Conisbrough, or Cunningsburgh, meant "Home of the Cunny".

He was a Plantaganet, french blood coursing through his veins, what about Newcastle, that's where all the other french are

Seriously he should be buried in the County of Yorkshire, find somewhere in Donny to put him,we could do with the tourist numbers ,Apparently they think they know where Albert the Great might be buried, what's forgotten when they are thinking of where to bury Richard,is how important a place York was at the time,in those days it wasn't all about London, like it is now,YORKSHIRE Born and Bred bring him back home.

Fotheringhay castle to be exact, same place where they held Mary Queen of Scots prior to execution but that's where the story ends with him. Most of his life he spent time either in France or in the north of England keeping the Scots at bay for his brother the king.
He should not be put on display anymore than a mummy should be kept in Canada/USA  or here for instance..........he has to come home and his body treated with dignity. York , or at least the north, is where he probably would have called home. Btw his wife is buried in Westminster Abbey!

Given the choice one would think he would want to be buried in York Minster or Yorkshire. As a near death wish for any man, it would be nice to try and honour it. For a King we should go that bit further. Hail the Return of the King.

Richard 111 himself has set up an epetition. All us Yorkists have a duty to sign it. I just can't make it easier and put the link up from this iPad.

Edwin King of the Northumbrians, killed in the battle of Hatfield Chase is reputed to have been buried in Sherwood Forest at a place called Edwinstowe, I think that is the most Northerly location of a Kings grave

To get this debate onto Rovers (a bit) Edwinstowe is where our lot always stop for a drink when we play in Nottingham or Mansfield, and when we have stopped there the Rovers havent been beaten (including that Mansfield Moment day).  Its a few miles from the Major Oak, near to Center Parcs

I Know he was born in this country, but the family were french,no doubt somewhere down south will get him,if so i hope he gets buried next to his wife in Westminster.
