Don't change the badge at all! I personally (being non-biased) think our badge is one of the best looking in the whole of English football! I don't like the idea of changing a badge/crest at all, it's our identity!
I also don't think there is anything wrong with the badge as it already is. I'm all for new ideas and tinkering but on this, I don't feel there is any need.

That might not be quite right though. A bit too pointy.
http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Doncaster_Rovers/Doncaster_Rovers.htmThere are a selection of Rovers badges on that web page. The 1996 one was a bit crap.Dimples, I reckon a Viking shield would probably have been round as well and an axe might have been more appropriate than a sword. Never mind, I think the winged helmet has been a distinctive part of the Rovers emblem for so long now you wouldn't want to change it.

It was the supporter's club that obtained the rights to it when Richardson was doing his worst, hence that Thundercats abomination we had for one season. Not sure if the rights were given back to the club or not.
Just a pedantic point on the shield. Wouldn't the Vikings have had round shields? I think the current one is more of a medieval design. But I could be wrong.

I just recall it was Andy Liney and I thought it all happened right at the birth of the VSC.The last I heard, the club was given permission to use the logo free of charge but I don't know what happened after that.
