I've seen Gravity. I just thought it tore arse. Not worthy of 7 oscars but I'm no expert.
My favourite five (in no order) are Jurassic Park, Gladiator,  Shawshank Redemption, Alien and American History X.

I watched Trading Places last night. A very good comedy movie from back in 1983.

The interesting thing was in that film the character Clarence Beeks (the bad guy security man) uses the phrase 'I'll tear you a new ass hole'

I'll bet that was the first time it was uttered and it's common usage has grown ever since.

Interesting how it's meaning has changed. In 1983, it was literal, a very violent, degrading action. Then in football it started to mean beat someone easily and in the post above, it means it was very good.
