The Dons are part of Sporting Club Doncaster which includes Rovers and others all under the same umbrella, same club, same owners different sport,  for petes  sake stop being so damn stupid and pathetic

I couldn't agree more and well done to the Dons. If some don't like threads entitled " the Dons " then move on .
I support the club and it's teams as far as I' m concerned any thread about sporting club Doncaster should be on here and not hidden elsewhere and those that don't like it can do one.
What is the difference between a thread entitled "" Rooney " and " the Dons" ............yes the latter is about our club's finances and the success of a Doncaster team run through the club.
Strange that you weren't all up in arms about the former thread ???

Yes William it is.

Isn't it possible for people to observe and understand the titles of the respective forum sections?

Wow,hold the horses James, are you a forum moderator, or just facetious individual?

Well he's certainly not a mod?

No, he just thinks he is. Like other posters have said.....
A considerable number of people on here ARE interested.
It is an integral part of SPORT club Doncaster. Nothing to do with car boots, clairvoyants or Fathers Day.
If its got The Dons in the header, don't read it and mind your own bloody business.
Are you trying to take over from Mick as the resident arsehole on this forum, at least Mick is occasionally funny. You're just so far up your own self centred arse, it's not true. Who do you think you are ?
It looks to me as if the title of "resident arsehole" is already taken. Keep it up.

It didn't take you long to grab that particular title BCS !!

Sadly Hoola, I'm going to have to pass over you for the title of 'Resident Intellect'.

No, you keep hold of the crown Colin. You've worked so hard for it, and you're far better at it than anyone else on here.

I have no worries about my level of intellect Big Col. What does worry me however is your need for ascerbic sarcasm at every turn. Why with your level of intellect do you feel it necessary to belittle other posters ?
It cuts no ice with me and neither do your attempts at sarcasm come across as being witty or even funny. You must try harder D-.

I'm genuinely bemused.

You helped to set up a (failed) forum that prided itself on being unmoderated. Yet your are anally obsessive about the moderation of posts on here.

What's the issue?

Perhaps it's the 'failed footballer' becoming a 'referee' syndrome.

I'm not clear on this analogy. Please expand.

When you invited me to have a look at the forum, you said of it  "We're trying to get something off the ground".

See me. I'm a simple soul. When I see the word "we" I assume it means "that the person to whom the pronoun refers is acting in the way indicated by the verb.

Fully prepared though, to accept that I was wrong about that if that is what you are telling me now.

Encouraging people to use a forum is somewhat different from setting one up William.

This is the second time you've made a false assumption about me (something which you berate Mick for) Last time you apologised. I look forward to an update.

So when you said, "we are trying to get something off the ground" you meant "someone else is trying to get something off the ground and I'm letting people know about it"?

If that's what you meant then I am sorry for misinterpreting it.

I'll accept your apology again William. I think it would do you good not to jump to conclusions so quickly.

Back on to the topic of The Dons - there were already two threads about one match in the Off Topic section. NewYankee then decided to start another one, saying the exact same thing, in the Rovers section. And I'm the one being called an arsehole? The mind continues to boggle.

I humbly crave your indulgence.

What I clearly should have said was

You tried to get off the ground a (failed) forum that prided itself on being unmoderated. Yet your are anally obsessive about the moderation of posts on here.

How does that sound?

For goodness sake William - you've just apologised, now you've gone and undone it.

I'll make it very clear for you. I did not set up that forum, to which you are a registered contributor I note. I have no role in its ongoing status, nor at any time have I had any role in its maintenance. I do however applaud its existence.

Now, if you can't stay on topic, pipe down, or do one of your faux Barnsley accents or something. They're always great fun.

I was and am a registered user at the other forum. What that has to do with anything related to this thread is utterly beyond me, although for the record, I enjoyed its brief flowering and I wished it well.

I apologise profusely for being too dim to unpick the subtle details of your convoluted use of English. And I would also like to point out that at no time did I suggest that you had anything to do with the maintenance of the other site. I merely pointed out that it seems odd that you were involved in trying to get off the ground a site which prided itself on being unmoderated, when moderation here seems to tax you so much.

I'm sure it makes sense to you though.

William, this is boring. I am not Mick. I will not keep going on this topic for 12 pages. You've made your point, I fundementally disagree with it. We are both within our rights to do so. That's that as far as I'm concerned.

You're a little tinker Colin. Flitting between apparent stupidity and cleverness all in the same thread.
You'll have us think you're a bright boy, try a bit harder to work it out....

Well, it appears to be an analogy based on a false premise. Therefore I'm struggling to get to grips with its relevance. Hence my need for futher clarification.
