Iwould be interested to know how loosing at York would get us up the League?

What winning there would do is give us our first away win of the season and extend our unbeaten 'streak' to three games, thus giving the players more confidence and the new manager a better starting point.

But if you want us to loose, well that's up to you.

I hope this is bullsh*t or a smokescreen and trying to make fans appreciate a Ferguson, RJ, or even, and I never thought I'd ever say this, an Evans, cos I'd take any of them over Clark!

There is no way Lee Clarke could have talked himself into the job ... have you heard him speak! Christ on a bike. This really has me worried to be honest. Who is placing bets on him so that he's 1/6?

Not keen at all on Lee Clark getting the job. His record is worse than Dickov's was before he came. Still, if it is him I suppose we ought to give him our full support.

Agree ... you may as well keep Jones if this is the 'very high calibre' the board are talking about. That said, I'll get behind Clarke if it's true. He didn't do badly at Huddersfield but my god the man is a drone. Absolute drone.

With the team he had at Huddersfield it was impossible to do badly with them they had a quality team.

Chaps, chaps, chaps.... Just stop a few seconds. Have you ever, ever, heard any whisper, of anything, out of the KM2 or our Chief Exec? No? Neither have I. Those guys are professionals. They've spent their lives being professionals. Just watch what they do eh? That tells you, clear as day, that they won't have leaked anything to anybody. If their friends and/or families have I would be gobsmacked too.

The one thing we can all, all, be certain of right now is that nobody from DRFC has told any bookie anything. So that means that somebody is out there putting a few bets on and the bookies have reacted. That's it.

One other thought: given what we all saw happen a few months back now to those who had got used to letting their lips run away with their discretion, if someone has been blabbing, they better have their escape route planned.

But if it does end up being Clark I'll be hugely disappointed. Would prefer Ferguson over him.

I hear what you're saying Bob but Dickov's name was out there from the get go the last time we had this application process, as were the other main contenders. I don't know how they get out but they do. This is football - we have people like agents involved. It's not all down to the diligence of the owners.

Agreed Copps but JR was still on the Board then and he could never be accused of keeping things close to his chest (not a bad thing by any stretch! But obviously not as insulated as now!) We also had other people in the background that aren't there anymore!

As said in above post - my gut feeling (and no great idea why) is that this appointment will be pretty much unforseen - in the same way our summer player recruitments were!
