Again, the club are far better off without any involvement of the McKay family. the fact that they have gone to such a "brown envelope" club in Leeds does not surprise me at all and they will be one big dodgy family together from the chairmen down to the manager

We've got fees for players who, on the evidence I've seen, aren't quite ready for first team football yet. Only time will tell if they make that step up.

In the general scheme of things I actually think it's good for our academy. We now have both players breaking through into the first team and players we are selling to other clubs. That's how it should work in the long run so we reap the playing and financial rewards.

Can't see that DF will be pushed into playing these kids if there not up to it hence why they have probably gone now - can't have pushy parents and agents at that trying to influence how there kids should be promoted

Hardly - we've just given Lund and Middleton lengthy contracts. I don't think either of the McKays was particularly close to starting in the first team. If we've got a good offer, it may make sense to sell.

Did Middleton and Lund get contract extensions this time last year No.
The McKays have been in the first team squad a year less than them.
If it was not for their Dad some supporters would not agree with this move.

The manager looks like he's made a decision let's hope we can bring in some more players now.

As per others above, they haven't troubled the first team and didn't pull up any trees on loan several divisions lower. There's a slim chance that they'll both be late developers so with that in mind if settle for a free transfer with a decent sell-on clause each.

Nothing to do with who their dad is. Were either likely to play in the first team this season? I think not.

Jack McKay made his debut a few weeks after Lund, btw.

I'd be interested to know if we offered them contract extensions.
