What like Nick Robinson lead presenter of the radio 4 today programme

Robinson was a founder-member of Macclesfield Young Conservatives (YC) and rose through the ranks, becoming Cheshire YC Chairman (1982–84) and became a key activist in the moderate-controlled North West Area organisation. Philip Pedley, as National YC Chairman, co-opted Robinson onto the YC National Advisory Committee in 1983 and appointed him National Campaign Director of Youth for Multilateral Disarmament. Robinson was elected National Vice Chairman in 1985–87 and succeeded a fellow moderate, Richard Fuller, when he was elected Chairman of the National Young Conservatives on the moderate ticket against strong right-wing opposition (1987–88).[7]

At university he was President of the Oxford University Conservative Association in 1985.[8][9]

By basing what they say on real facts instead of what they feel or what their mates have told them, presumably.

And the Political Editor before him, Andrew Marr, who still presents a major weekly politics programme, was previously the editor of that filthy left-wing rag the Daily Telegraph.

Not forgetting Sarah( picket line breaker )Montague on the main daily BBC political programme

Montague's first job was as a stockbroker for County NatWest and then a Eurobond dealer with NatWest Capital Markets in London. She then went into business in London with the owner of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts.

Montague began her journalistic career with Channel Television in 1991. She joined Reuters in January 1995 and then became business correspondent for Sky News in January 1996.

She joined the BBC during October 1997 and presented Newsnight and BBC News, before joining the Today news programme on BBC Radio 4 in 2002.[1][3] She presented the very first programme on BBC News 24 with Gavin Esler on 9 November 1997. She has also presented HARDtalk on BBC News.[4] In December 2008, she hosted BBC World's Nobel Minds in the library of the Royal Palace, Stockholm. The 2008 Nobel Prize winners in Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Economics, and Literature had a round-table discussion on issues of global concern and their own contributions to the world of knowledge.

On 6 November 2010, Montague broke a strike at the BBC called by the National Union of Journalists. She arrived to present the Today programme at 3:30 am, along with fellow presenter Evan Davis, thereby not technically crossing the picket line.[5] On 15 July 2011, she again broke an NUJ strike by presenting Today with Justin Webb, again by arriving early.[6]

On 10 February 2015, she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws honoris causa from the University of Bristol.[7

There are various newspapers out there that have written reports that question the bbcs left wing stance especially in the build up during the last election.

Reports on when whatever questiontimes had a stacked left wing audience etc etc .

There is no smoke without fire .

The Independent isn't saying the BBC has left-wing bias, it's merely reporting that social media wallies and right-wing berks like Nigel Farage are accusing the BBC of bias. Just like you're doing. So it proves feck all.

Did you bother reading the bit in the article where they also report that the BBC gets accused of right-bias too?

Is your assertion that the BBC 'swings towards the left for certain' really based on stuff as flimsy as this?

So you honestly think that the bbc are a middle of the road news outlet Glynn ?

Iam going to re write an warning from yesteryears

> the left wing are under your beds >

They are within the bbc ,the Labour Party no longer serve the true working class as they Labour are now infested with left wing minded along with the trade unions.

Look at my mate abbot who is allways on any so called racist issue like a rash,ad she is more racist about white people than any racist out there but she gets away with it.

She certainly don’t stand for the working class which I always thought was where the Labour Party was first formed amongst the working class for the working class.

I think the BBC are the most impartial news reporters in Britain. Because they have to be according the Charter that governs their existence.

As for your 'warning', it's nothing more than someone frothing at the mouth. And what on Earth does yet another load of drivel about what Abbott says have anything to do with how the BBC reports the news? Absolutely nothing.

How about you give us a piece of BBC left-wing bias right from the horse's mouth, from the BBC's own web pages, instead of just telling us that random people accuse them of being biased? From what you say, there must be loads of examples just lying around waiting to be linked to. Oh, and the BBC reporting what someone else says isn't evidence of bias, that's just reporting the bias of other people.

So nothing from the BBC's own web pages proving bias at all then? Just more of other people's opinions.

Yet you ignored what I posted above about the BBC anti-left wing and pro-Tory bias?

I don't think the BBC show much bias to the left or right per se, but they are definitely anti-Corbyn, which means they naturally go pro-right in some reports

Must admit, my remark was not so much about the BBC per se, but rather about (what I perceive to be) the shameless bias of Laura Kuenessberg, who TBH does the majority of the political reporting on beeb news.
