He’s a quality player. I was surprised Peterborough let him go to Walsall. Doubt he would cost a fortune but weather we have any money to spend is debatable.
Why would he want to sign for a team who are lower in the league and his present club has done the double over this season?

The results between the two sides are even less relevant.
RA, your second line contradicts your first line by saying there's no reason why he wouldn't sign for Rovers when on your first line you say he should be looking higher than this division. Surely that is a reason why he shouldn't sign for Rovers?
it's pretty obvious that if Birmingham get relegated he will sign for them (Sunderland is a bit cold for him) end of ............ but people re free to dream
Both Yeovil and Rovers had been promoted when McIndoe signed for us in pre-season, so they were hardly doing better than us. If you're using that as a prime example it shows there can't be many occasions where a player has genuinely 'upgraded' to us from a higher ranking club. And Selby, what are you on about?
RedJ, you're absolutely right. If geographical location was the yardstick, he'd probably sign for a Turkish club, and it'd be a damned sight warmer than here.
Now correct me if I'm wrong here, but weren't Lawlor, Whiteman and Williams reserve players for their respective clubs prior to joining Rovers, in which case meant signing for us was a climb up the ladder in terms of first-team football for all three of them?

But it was pre-season prior to both teams being promoted, so neither team was higher in ranking than the other! It's quite possible McIndoe signed for financial reasons, or because he'd fallen out with Yeovil's manager, or both, but he didn't sign for us as a lower ranking club.
RA, I was referring to the player named in the thread title. He is obviously a good player, and as much as I'd like him here, I see no reason why he would find Rovers a significant enough climb up the ladder in terms of comparable team ability or ambition. Walsall's higher league position and their double over us would do nothing to persuade him otherwise.
