Daft as it may seem after a 6-1 win I don’t think we played that well, but we didn’t need to. Second half we didn’t even look as though we were bothered about scoring. If we had broken sweat 2nd half we would have had 8/9/10 goals.Anyway job done.Let’s now see how good we actually are as Belgium will be a completely different kettle of fish.

You can’t grumble with that result and we are looking very dangerous going forward. I still think the defence will be badly exposed by a good opponent, but you can say about most of the sides at this WC.

We played fairly averagely overall and there was precious little interaction between the midfield and attack, save for long balls lumped over. BUT you win tournaments through results rather than fancy football. They are delivering results and that is what they should be applauded for.
