Yes I know he does not play for us but I am posting this anyway. You cannot keep a good man down. He will be 33 in February but this season he is easily on course to deliver his best ever return in the Championship.After scoring at weekend he is on 13 goals in Championship (zero penalties) and needs only six more to match his record of 19 in 2011/12 for us / Southampton. Guess it shows that you don’t necessarily need pace or endless skill or to be a false number nine or whatever - a fat lad with a nose for a goal still has a place at the top table.
Some players like Sharpy are blessed with natural instinct to be in the most effective goal scoring position - you’ve either got it or you haven’t Billy has it - Lineker had it. Different level but same principle
I'll say he's right up there with our top strikers that I've ever seen (Sir Brian Deane included).
