Of course he’s been getting the service, he missed two good chances on Tuesday evening, the chances he was putting away earlier in the season he just simply isn’t putting away now.
A game or two out may do him some good. And give the likes of sadlier and wilks the opportunity to step up
Disagree Dickos you don’t drop your main goal scorer.
We are not Sunderland who have got Wyke and Grigg to call on who can both lead the line. We don’t have that luxury and Wilks is not ideally suited to that role.
You are entitled to your opinion of course but you are fundamentally wrong and the one man that counts in this debate is GM. He doesn’t drop him because he also knows it would be a huge mistake.

There will be no one more frustrated or disappointed that he is not scoring than JM himself. Hopefully it clicks tomorrow and continues through the play offs IF we qualify

In spite of the lean patch JM is going through you cannot drop him now with two games to go and potentially more. He is the guy to get the goals and/or create space for others.  We have to stick with him and I am sure McCann is of the same mind.

Dickos

Actually, Spurs were not winning every week. Their record in that period was:

P13 W4 D6 L3.

Which is God awful form for them.

The principle is that if you have a proven goalscorer who is going through a bad patch, you stick with him.

Spurs record is actually better without Kane so maybe they should have dropped him.
Either way, I’m not suggesting he’s useless or we should get rid. But he’s not even looking like scoring at the moment and in my opinion a slight change of the front 3 at this moment in time would benefit us.
So who would be your front three?

I’d have marquis in my front 3 usually, but for the last two games I’d play wilkes centrally with copps and sadlier.
Or I’d play Blair with sadlier and wilks and play copps in the middle with whiteman and Kane
Bloody hell something we agree about !

Its highly unlikely GM will gamble on resting/ dropping Marquis now with 2 vital matches to go, regardless of his current form. I just hope IF we dont look like scoring then GM’s been looking at a plan B. If that means subbing Marquis then so be it. Hopefully we wont need a plan B, but optimistic im not.

Did you see Marquis's tweet after he was picked for the PFA side?

There's some bell ends following us who are going to be a big part of why the best forward we've had in 50 years is going to leave this summer.

Actually, it wasn't on Twitter. Must have seen it somewhere else. He said that he is pushed by the insults and moaners to improve every day, or words to that effect.

Think it was on Instagram, wasn't it?

He's one of those who capitalised every single word in a sentence, bizarre. Not that it makes me like him any less!

I remember how much we rated Chris Brown.
He ran about a lot and chased back.
He scored around ten goals a season.

Or inspired to push himself harder, and shut down the doubters.....
Nobody wants JM gone , but many want our goal getter back to doing what he does best,

So glad JM got his goal. Much deserved and a great cross from Wilks.

Here's what JM said on Twitter.

He was everything you want from a centre forward today, a danger when he had the ball, got in their faces, found space, and brought other players into the game.
If you don't rate him, you have a lot to learn about football, he is the best we have had for years.

Reading JMs tweet or whatever it is it’s plain to see....
All the kiss asses have allowed him to wallow in self pity and doubt during his lean spell by continually hugging him and saying all will be well....

But reading JMs words just goes to show that the negativity aimed at him was not only justified but has given him a slap across the face....

Well done moaners and groaners, you have single handedly rejuvenated our prize asset....
Kiss asses....your false praise nearly crushed the spirit of this fine talent....

It's not about kissing his arse. It's about appreciating his quality and recognising his potential - a skill that is lost on some.

Rigs!
Did you seriously attempt to qualify my statement ?

At what point in time did irony get lost on the youth of today...My tongue was poking a hole through my cheek with that statement....lighten the load and smile at the bare faced cheek of it...lol

sha66y, he does not have bad games, he is just better in some than others.
In every game he does something well, either work rate, bringing other players into the game, or just being a complete problem to the central defenders.
And he always gives full commitment, he may not have a good game, but he does not have bad games, it is the supporters that expect too much, nobody plays well every game, even international players. But some players like John Marquis force the opposition to change their game, or pay special attention to them, Wilks and Kane are just starting to get that attention, Copps has had it for years, and why like John Marquis they are so important to us.

Marquis is not your typical frontman who just needs a high ball to flick on or a ball just feet to hold up and work the defence to create a gap , let’s face it he falls down when challenged or gets pushed about easily , yet he gets goals because he grafts hard when the opportunity presents it’s self and gets his passes or shots when the gap opens up . He misses some great opportunities and gets once he shouldn’t . He never stops trying and appreciates his team mates efforts that get him in . He is the best we’ll see at the Keepmoat without a price tag and if he leaves it’s 20 odd goals that go with him .

He actually does have bad games,...every player on the face of the earth has an occasional bad one, but it is only considered bad in comparison to a good game....but the whole issue of how bad a game someone has is subjective......
and now I’ve bored myself with that....I’m gonna watch some telly.....lol
