Would you consider...

Having a female manager in the future?

Having read an article regarding the potential for the Chelsea Ladies manager to take the job at the men's side, it got me wondering what the consensus of a female manager at the Rovers would be, personally if they had the knowledge I'd be all for it, get the feeling that won't be a totally agreed upon opinion though

It's a results-based business. If they can get the results, there shouldn't be any barrier.

Would Man City employ the manager of Stalybridge Celtic as first team manager?

Is that a no for all women who work in "men's football"?

Wouldn't have an issue in principle, but how do you get round the changing room issue?

So do all women physios get kicked out? And Phil Neville has to leave England Women?

Personally no problem with it as long as they could have the respect of the dressing room and is decent enough with tactics, signings, etc.

I'm sure the lads would get used to it in time.

It's not our call. If the powers that be appointed a person because they believe they are the best person for the job, their sex, racial origin or religion is not a concern.

Men are managers of Women’s football.
Need I say any more. The year is 2019 not 1919.
It’s totally down to ability. Gender is irrelevant.
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIVING IN VICTORIAN TIMES IF THEY THINK ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
It’s as bad as racism imo.

Chelsea will no more appoint a female manager than they will me.  You could just imagine all the teddy throwing by the overpaid prima donnas if they were dropped by a female manager
Personally best person for the job no matter their background

The same way Neville gets round delivering his management for England’s team and Neil Redfern did for the Belles.

I would have no issue with a woman being manager at all as long as they were the right person for the job.

I understand why the physical game is separate between men and women but off the pitch football is football and if your a leader and have the ability to get results it shouldn't matter that you played in the women's game only. It will happen on day, probably not for a while though

You'd rightly be labelled an old-fashioned sexist if you objected to having a female boss in any other profession so what would the issue be here? If they were qualified of course.

So what if "it's men's football"? Does having a vagina preclude someone from knowing how to coach, manage a group of people or understand football?

I as a supporter I would have no problem with it, the problem will be the first to get a job at any of the top jobs including top non league sides would be carrying the hopes of all their gender. Fail and it would be even harder for those that follow to get a start.
Quite a responsibility, both for those who are the first to take the chance of being the first to appoint a female manager, and the first to be appointed, and the media would be all over it.
As a chairman with money invested, the publicity would be good and probably attract plenty of sponsorship.  would I take a chance, never in a month of Sundays.

There's no room for sexism in football. Having a vagina shouldn't come into it.

Potentially seeing lots of naked men, would be the obvious issue.

Whose 'obvious issue' is this? The female manager, the male players or just you?

Don't know what your problem is to be honest, think your trying to derail this thread into an argument, and I'm not going to bite and stoop to your level.
The issue i raised, is valid and plain to see.

Nobody else sees an issue, so it's not plain to see why you say there is one. I'm just trying to find out what it's based on instead of just you saying 'there's an issue' and not saying why.

And - as others have pointed out - do you think whatever the 'issue' is is still an 'issue' when a man manages a womens' team? Because to me it just looks like you wouldn't want a female managing a mens' team just because she's a woman.

Well at least two replies show that not everyone is ok with it.
Retdon1 and Col from Donny wouldn’t want a female manager in men’s football.
Mr Wiggerly not reading the thread properly again.
