IMO, Gillingham and Rotherham have made some good signings. Sunderland have done nothing, but they have a strong team anyway. And Posh seem to have entered into early panic buying. It's always an interesting time of the year to watch teams evolve.

When did Bury and Shrewsbury merge?

Good spot. Funny enough "bury" is in "Shrewsbury". I need to reconsider the coding in my Visual Basic program.
As it happens Bury have made no signings yet. I just thought the summary might be a useful summary.

Thanks for taking the time to collate the info.. seems we aren’t alone in having all quiet close season so far and that more than half the clubs in our division have only signed 1 or no new players. Wonder if other clubs fans get as panicky and wound up over this as some of ours do.

It's not panic buying if they're getting them in early! More likely, they have been longish term targets and they get them before others do. There is only (really) Peterborough and Coventry who have set their stall out early doors, but, like us, they may have lost a fair few as well.

The list of names brought in by Peterbro hardly fills me with dread though.

Good point; however, there's a big difference this year; we're potentially losing almost our entire first team.

That's the reason for the panic.

Entire 1st team.

Marosi’s position is covered by a better keeper imo.
Jones will be second keeper. His time has come.
Butler, Kane, Rowe, Wilks & possibly Marquis is hardly almost our entire 1st team.
Centre back position we have cover for as Blaney will be in the squad next season.
We have brought in a right back and a wide front man.
So we need 2 midfielders and possibly 2 strikers.

What’s the panic. Bet GM isn’t panicking because he will have targets sorted.

It’s June 16th and we have until the 1st week in August before the 1st game.

We have all this nonsense every summer. Must be bored or something. Go and watch a summer sport ( Cricket ) like me and take your mind off Football for a few weeks.
It is very therapeutic. It’ll help believe me.

Off to York tomorrow to watch Yorkshire v Warwickshire. Football won’t be given a thought.

The new keeper madness appears to be cooling now due to the homegrown rule which looks like benefitting Jones.

Not bothered about getting a new keeper really much more pressing things for us to sort. If we get one great if not no big deal imo. The emergency loan system makes it not that urgent

If you think we only need to sign 4 players then you're seriously deluded.

Yep we currently have 11 senior players so need 7 new signings just to make up a match day squad.

Campsall, you need to read my posts properly; you've missed out 2 significant words that I said, "almost", and "potentially". We need another centre back, Andrew hasn't signed yet, Rowe and Kane need replacing, Marquis looks certain to leave, and we might struggle to keep Whiteman.

To suggest that we only need 4 signings is fantasy.
