Let's be honest here - these are 3rd bottom of League 2, with one point from 4 games........with the team we have out we should be beating them...

We should but we haven’t taken our chances again

I’m watching a decent performance from Rovers only missing a goal, and Oldham scored from a direct free kick.

It is far too early in the season to be making conclusions about trends and so forth.

You may have noted that I haven’t said owt about Saturdays game, because I didn’t see it:.

The most common thing happening when we get a chance is a deflection by Oldham..

Then again, if you were watching you would know that..

Looking at his comments I'm not sure he is watching the game. I think he must be watching a different game to me.

Read my last post, how often have the commentators said “deflected off Oldham”.?

And anyway, you have a reputation for negative posting don’t you.?

It’s frustrating that we don’t shoot more.

Not really bothered about this competition but every shot we have seems to get blocked really disappointing that we aren't making the most of our chances

I would say disjointed rather than poor, and just since Copps came off..

And now a breakaway goal from Oldham.. sucker punch that and probably wins the game.

Shame as this hasn’t been a 2-0 game despite the comments of some on here..

You win some, you lose some..

How anyone can defend losing 2-0 to a side at the bottom of league 2 with 1 point from 4 games is beyond me.
With the line up we’ve put out,
It’s a shambles

Competition is a waste of time but scoreline simply not good enough with the team we've put out. DM will need the week off to put a few things straight.

Looks like they didn’t get the memo....

Nobody seems to have learnt anything from the weekend, passing has been woefully inaccurate, energy levels are poor,

Bit of an uphill struggle against a team we ought to beat

Two games in a row where we’ve fallen apart in the second half.
Moore’s interview on sat didn’t mention once about how the performance dropped off in the second half just said we need to take our chances. If he can’t see that the second half was dreadful then he’s not going to fix it

Our better results have come from Copps either not being on or coming on as a sub...he takes hold of the game better when he comes on fresh....

And here comes another out of the woodwork.. what do league positions after 4 games really mean.?

I’m not defending the result which was disappointing, but I will defend the performance especially first half..

The game changed when Copps went off - don’t you think.?

We were pressed by MK Dons and struggled, didn’t take our chances against Wigan then second half pressed higher up the Pitch by Wigan, midfield disappeared and we looked clueless, tonight again had chances in the first half didn’t capitalise, second half Oldham pressed our midfield fell apart and we didn’t look like we knew how to break them down. 2 weeks off to work on it Darren

It was poor, total waste of a tenner, our passing was sloppy in the midfield area in the first half and then second half we recreated the second half from Saturday, the team with the most endeavour and desire won, easily in the end

We’re playing a league two side who aren’t even playing their strongest side. They haven’t won a game yet this season, lost 3 out of 4.
We’ve played a very strong 11 and lost 2-0.
And you say the performance was good,

I think there is a difference between negativity and realism. Surely even you could see that we were poor tonight. How many saves did Lawlor have to make?

And how many “deflections”’were there.?

Yes the second half was disappointing compared to the first but on another night we would have been 2 up at HT with the same performance..

Of course we will all have different opinions and tonight wasn’t great but it wasn’t that bad either, plenty of things to improve on but also plenty of positives to develop on that first half..

We aren’t going to win every game and we aren’t going to play great every minute.

That’s football and believe me I’ve seem far worse from Rovers over the years..
