Dale had the better chances well  long shots anyway both teams happy to play out from the back and wait for space to open up

Many thanks, dknward2. Appreciate it!

Brilliant ball by Smith and great run by Halliday to head it back into the danger area. But of luck with Richards scuffing it and Taylor in the right place at the right time to tap in.

Best move of the game! Probably against the run of play though as I don’t think we have been great so far. Good sign though

Just about the only decent move of the game.  Greaves has done alright so far. Won a lot of tackles breaking play up quite well.

Great team worked goal that we seem to have stepped up a little bit, hopefully it will drag them out which should give us some space

Elliot playing well so is AJ, Big Tom and Butler being the brick wall, the pace we have down the wing is very positive

I wouldn't have said it was against the run of play, we've had the majority possession, they've just hit long balls and long shots from outside the area.

Giid to be leading at HT , now press on,  make sure of the points and maybe notch up the goal difference.

Not sure what I’m watching...they look:
Strong
Quick
Controlled
Fast
and look to have goals in them....

We look :
A bit rushed
Clumsy
Disjointed
Headless at times

Yet we are winning, so whatever that ingredient is ( I think it’s a massive bucket of luck) we seem to be using it to its greatest effect....

I didn’t have because I saw them coming off for the break.
I thought Dale might have stayed on though and sneaked one in.

Matty Blair has scored assisted by Alfie. Has the Newport keeper scored in that game?

From a goal kick apparenty. Assisted by S. Christoph?

Err...you can’t score direct from a goal kick...unless the Laws have changed this season!
 :)

From the BBC website:

Newport County goalkeeper Tom King scored the first goal of his career to give the Exiles the lead at Cheltenham Town.

The 25-year-old's goal-kick was picked up in the wind before Robins goalkeeper Josh Griffiths was caught out by the bounce as the ball sailed into the net.

Newport players ran all the way back into their own penalty area to celebrate with King, who was included in Wales' international squad for the first time in November 2019.

Stunned by the goal the Cheltenham players appeared to appeal to officials, but after a quick discussion between the referee Peter Wright and the fourth official the goal was given

Obviously the ball was played a second time by an attacker/defender.

Bit of a dodgy sub there if you ask me, the Tayls one I can understand but Richards for Williams is odd, unless he has a knock
